Answer Notes
Stripline is a specialized type of electrical transmission line used to convey high-frequency radio waves, specifically in microwave applications. It is constructed using standard printed circuit board (PCB) technology.
Structurally, a stripline consists of a flat conducting strip sandwiched between two parallel ground planes, separated by a dielectric (insulating) substrate. This design tightly contains the electromagnetic field, preventing radiation and minimizing interference.
Because of its name, beginners sometimes mistake it for a wire-stripping chemical or a semiconductor component, but it is strictly a planar transmission line used within RF circuit design.
