Answer Notes
The transmission of music or commercial broadcast signals is strictly prohibited on amateur radio bands. If you are operating near a commercial radio, television, or any other music source, your microphone can easily pick up the sound and accidentally broadcast it over the air.
The most practical and legally compliant solution is to eliminate the source of the problem by simply turning down or turning off the background audio.
Other options are incorrect because they do not solve the root issue. For example, a noise blanker is a receiver setting used to reduce impulse noise on incoming signals; it has absolutely no effect on what your microphone picks up to transmit.
