D
radiocommunication in support of industrial, business, or professional activities

Answer Notes

Amateur radio operators are explicitly prohibited from transmitting commercially recorded materials, broadcast programming (like commercial radio or TV audio), or any communications that support industrial, business, or professional activities. The amateur service is strictly for personal, non-commercial, and technical use. Q codes, on the other hand, are standard three-letter procedural signals (such as QRM for interference, or QTH for location) originally developed for telegraphy. They are used to speed up and simplify communication across language barriers. Because Q codes are universally understood, publicly documented, and serve to clarify rather than hide the meaning of a message, they are fully permitted and widely used on the amateur bands.
