Regulations and administration
Type
A
When the other station is interfering with your transmission
B
When the other station is not operating in accordance with the Radiocommunication Regulations
C
When you both wish to contact the same station
D
When your station is directly involved with a distress situation
Answer Notes
Willful interference with another station's transmission is generally strictly prohibited in amateur radio under all normal operating conditions. You cannot play "radio police" and interfere even if another station is breaking the rules.
However, the preservation of human life and property always supersedes standard operating regulations. If your station is directly involved in a genuine distress situation, you are permitted to interrupt or interfere with ongoing transmissions to secure a clear channel and get immediate help.
