In a 3-element Yagi antenna, which is the shortest radiating element?

A standard 3-element Yagi utilizes parasitic elements to create a highly directional radiation pattern. The director is placed in front of the driven element to pull or focus the RF energy in the forward direction. For the director to function properly and act capacitively, it must be physically shorter than the resonant driven element.
