Answer
Interference and suppression
Type
A
Tropospheric wave
B
Scattered wave
C
Ground wave
D
Ionospheric wave

Answer Notes

The troposphere is the lowest layer of Earth's atmosphere, where all weather occurs. Under certain conditions, such as temperature inversions, this layer can bend (refract) VHF and UHF radio waves, trapping them and keeping them close to the Earth's surface. This phenomenon creates what is known as a tropospheric wave or 'ducting,' allowing signals to travel much further than their normal line-of-sight range. It is easy to confuse this with a 'ground wave,' but ground waves follow the Earth's curvature through surface conductivity, whereas tropospheric waves are actively bent by atmospheric weather conditions.
