Answer Notes
The FCC requires all amateur radio licensees to provide and maintain a valid email address in their Universal Licensing System (ULS) profile. This is part of the agency's transition to fully electronic correspondence and licensing.
If the FCC attempts to contact you at your provided email address and the message bounces back as undeliverable, the consequences are severe. Your station license may be revoked, or your operator license may be suspended, until the issue is resolved.
Unlike past rules where a physical mailing address was the sole primary point of contact, maintaining your digital contact information is now a strict legal requirement for keeping your operating privileges active.
