Answer Notes
A linked repeater network consists of two or more repeaters connected together, often via RF links, microwave, or internet connections. When you transmit your signal into one repeater, your audio is routed to all the other repeaters in the network, and they all broadcast your signal simultaneously across their respective coverage areas.
This setup vastly increases the communication range, allowing a user in one city to talk seamlessly with someone in a distant region or even across the globe. By contrast, multiple receivers for a single repeater describe a "voting system," and APRS is a digital packet system used for tracking and data, not for linking voice repeaters.
