What is the unit of inductance?
C
Answer
Electrical principles and math
Type
A
The coulomb
B
The farad
C
The henry
D
The ohm
Answer Notes
The standard unit of measurement for inductance is the henry, named after American scientist Joseph Henry who did early pioneering work in electromagnetic induction. In radio electronics, you will often work with fractions of a henry, such as millihenries (mH) or microhenries (μH).
The distractors represent units for entirely different electrical properties. The farad is the unit for capacitance, the coulomb measures electrical charge, and the ohm measures resistance and impedance.
