Tesla-effect
D
Bipolar junction
Answer Notes
A Field-Effect Transistor (FET) is a type of semiconductor device that features three specific terminals: the gate, the drain, and the source. Voltage applied to the gate terminal controls the flow of electrical current between the drain and the source terminals.
It is important not to confuse FETs with Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs). A BJT also has three terminals, but they are named the base, collector, and emitter. Among the other distractors, a varistor is a voltage-dependent resistor, and the 'Tesla-effect' is a made-up term.
