Which instrument would you use to measure electric potential?

Electric potential, commonly referred to as electromotive force or simply voltage, is measured in units called volts. Therefore, the proper instrument to measure this electrical pressure is a voltmeter. The other options measure entirely different electrical properties. An ammeter measures the flow of electric current (amperes), an ohmmeter measures electrical resistance (ohms), and a wavemeter measures the wavelength or frequency of a radio frequency signal.
