Answer Notes
The Internet Radio Linking Project (IRLP) is a system designed to link distant amateur radio repeaters and simplex stations together using the internet. It does this by using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to securely bridge the audio from one radio system to another.
Unlike some other networks, IRLP was strictly designed to link radio-to-radio communications, meaning an operator generally must use an RF radio to access the network. It is not used for browsing websites, spotting DX stations, or measuring signal strength.
