Answer Notes

You should never climb a tower alone. A dedicated ground crew or at least one observer is critical to a safe tower climb, regardless of the height or the type of work being performed. A ground helper can monitor your safety, manage tools and materials via a tag line, and immediately call for emergency assistance if an accident or medical emergency occurs while you are suspended on the tower. Distractors suggesting exceptions based on low height or lack of electrical work are dangerous misconceptions.
