What frequency range is referred to as UHF?

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) classifies the radio spectrum into bands in decades (multiples of 10). The Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band is defined as spanning from 300 MHz to 3000 MHz (which is 3 GHz). Distractors usually confuse the multiplier or the unit. For example, 30 to 300 MHz is the Very High Frequency (VHF) band, not UHF. Choosing kHz instead of MHz is another common error, but kHz applies to much lower frequency bands like LF or MF.
