Electrical principles and math
Type
A
Farad
B
Ohm
C
Volt
D
Henry

Answer Notes

The basic unit of capacitance is the Farad, named after the pioneering English physicist Michael Faraday. A capacitor has a capacitance of one Farad when one coulomb of charge changes the potential difference between its plates by one volt. Because a whole Farad is an extremely large amount of capacitance for typical radio and electronic circuits, you will most often see capacitors rated in microfarads (one-millionth of a Farad) or picofarads (one-trillionth of a Farad). The other options represent units for entirely different electrical properties: the Ohm measures resistance, the Volt measures electromotive force, and the Henry measures inductance.
