Answer Notes
By a long-standing amateur radio convention, Upper Sideband (USB) is used for single-sideband communications on all amateur bands with frequencies of 14 MHz and higher. This rule applies to the 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10-meter HF bands, as well as all VHF and UHF bands.
Lower Sideband (LSB) is generally reserved for the lower HF bands (40, 80, and 160 meters). Suppressed sideband and inverted sideband are not standard sideband selection modes. Therefore, for 10 meters and above, USB is always the correct choice.
