Answer Notes
Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) encourages anyone with an interest in amateur radio to learn and participate, regardless of their age. There is no minimum or maximum age limit to write the exam or hold an Amateur Radio Operator Certificate.
The only requirement is the cognitive ability to study for, understand, and pass the standardized examination. Once you pass, you are fully entitled to operate an amateur radio station within the privileges of your qualification, whether you are 8 or 80 years old.
