D
Answer
Regulations and administration
Type
A
At least once during each transmission
B
At the beginning of a contact and at least every thirty minutes after that
C
At the beginning and end of each transmission
D
At least every thirty minutes, and at the beginning and at the end of a contact
Answer Notes
Canadian regulations require that an amateur radio station transmit its call sign to properly identify itself during communications. This identification must occur at the beginning and at the end of every contact.
Additionally, for long conversations, you must identify your station at least once every thirty minutes. Identifying every single transmission is unnecessary and clutters the airways, while only identifying at the start and end ignores the mandatory 30-minute rule for extended contacts.
