A
Answer
Electrical and RF safety
Type
A
Where the feed lines enter the building
B
On the antenna, opposite the feed point
C
In series with each ground lead
D
At the closest power pole ground electrode

Answer Notes

Lightning arrestors are designed to shunt high-voltage transients from a lightning strike directly to ground before they can enter your station and damage your equipment. Therefore, they must be placed outside, exactly at the point where the antenna feed lines enter the building. Placing them on the antenna itself leaves the entire length of the feedline exposed to inducing damaging currents into the house. To be effective, the arrestors must be connected to a robust, single-point exterior ground system directly at this entry point.
