B
Answer
Circuit components
Type
A
Long life
B
High discharge current
C
High voltage
D
Rapid recharge

Answer Notes

Every battery contains a small amount of internal resistance. When current flows out of the battery and into a load, this internal resistance causes a voltage drop inside the battery itself, converting some energy into heat and lowering the voltage available at the terminals. According to Ohm's Law, if the internal resistance is very low, the internal voltage drop remains minimal even when heavy current is drawn. Therefore, a low internal resistance allows the battery to deliver high discharge currents to an external circuit without its output voltage collapsing.
