Answer Notes
An electronic keyer is a device used in CW (Morse code) operation. It works in conjunction with a paddle to automatically generate perfect strings of dots (dits) and dashes (dahs) as long as the respective paddle is pressed. This assists the operator by ensuring consistent timing and reducing hand fatigue compared to using a traditional straight key.
The distractors describe other unrelated radio functions. An antenna switch or T/R relay handles transmit/receive switching, a VOX (Voice Operated eXchange) circuit handles voice-activated switching, and a security lock prevents unauthorized use. None of these assist with generating Morse code.
