The control point is defined as the physical location where the control operator function is actually performed. This is where the operator makes decisions, presses the push-to-talk button, or interfaces with the station controls.
Because many modern stations are operated remotely over the internet, the control point might be a laptop in your living room, while the actual transmitter and antenna are miles away.
Therefore, the location of the transmitting apparatus or the mailing address of the licensee does not necessarily dictate the control point.
