Answer Notes
As an amateur radio station owner, your primary legal responsibility is to ensure that your station is always operated in strict accordance with Canadian regulations. This overarching duty remains true regardless of who is speaking into the microphone or whether the station is operating automatically.
While you are responsible for the station's compliance, the rules do not mandate that you must be physically present during all operations. For instance, guest operators can use your station under your authorization, or you might set up an automated repeater.
Furthermore, you have no obligation to let anyone else use your equipment, nor do you need to notify ISED every time someone else acts as the control operator.
