C
Answer
Licensing, station identification, and operation
Type
A
When an emergency telephone call is needed
B

C
When signals are reliable between communicating parties without using a repeater
D
When you are travelling and need some local information

Answer Notes

Repeaters are valuable shared resources designed to extend the communication range of stations that face geographical barriers or are too far apart to hear each other directly. If you and the other station can hear each other clearly on a direct (simplex) frequency, you should move off the repeater to a simplex channel. Doing so frees up the repeater system for operators who actually need its long-range capabilities, representing a fundamental rule of good amateur radio etiquette.
