Impedance matching
B
Oscillation
C
Modulation
D
Low-pass filtering
Answer Notes
Modulation is the process of altering a continuous wave (the RF carrier) so that it can carry information, such as voice, data, or video. When you speak into a microphone, your transceiver modulates the raw RF carrier with your audio signal.
There are several different types of modulation, including Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Frequency Modulation (FM), which change different properties of the carrier wave to embed the speech information.
While oscillation creates the raw RF carrier, filtering removes unwanted frequencies, and impedance matching maximizes power transfer, only modulation describes the actual combining of speech with the radio signal.
