Answer Notes

A Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) is issued to a candidate who passes an exam element to serve as immediate proof of their success. By FCC rules, a CSCE is valid for exam element credit for exactly 365 days from the date of issuance. If a candidate needs to use that CSCE for further upgrades or as proof of passing an element before the actual license is officially granted in the FCC database, they must do so within that one-year window. After 365 days, the exam credit expires, and the candidate would have to retake the exam.
